About:

Martynas has over 13 years of experiences in the field of commercial litigation and sports law. Before establishing LEXTRA Martynas worked for professional football club and spent 10 years at one of the top law firms in the Baltic region.

Martynas is a recognized sports law expert. He served as a member of the Legal Advisory Panel of the European Club Association (ECA). He is a sole author of monograph “Sports Law in Lithuania” published by Wolters Kluwer in 2017.

Martynas was recognized by the Legal 500 EMEA as a rising star in litigation.

Martynas Kalvelis helped to defend interests of a founder of IT start-up from allegations of investors regarding breach of investment agreement and claim of award of significant amount of damages before the Supreme Court of Lithuania.
Martynas successfully represented a client, international football player, in a case against his former club related to legality of premature contract termination and award of compensation before the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS).
Martynas represented a globally recognized medical technology company in complex and legally challenging public procurement dispute. Martynas helped the client to secure a favourable decision before the Supreme Court of Lithuania.
